Mockingbird is Raising the Bar at Mealtime and All Parents Should Know About It

Mockingbird High Chair Review

Feeding a baby is a whole thing. Then consider that you have to do it, like, five times per day every single day, and wow, how do we survive parenthood?

With a little help from the experts lending us their genius design, that’s how. We know and love Mockingbird for their quality strollers, and now they’ve come out with a High Chair that exceeds anything we’ve seen.

Here’s what we’re loving about the new Mockingbird High Chair:

The footrest and tray adjust like crazy

Every baby is a different weight and height, we know this. But not every high chair considers their proportions, like girth and how long their legs are. It’s wild that the Mockingbird High Chair stands out in that regard, but it does. The tray has 3 depth positions and the footrest has 4 positions so that you can customize your baby’s fit to ensure they’re eating from a safe and comfortable position.

The 5-point harness is also an easy one-slide adjustment, and when your little one no longer needs to be fastened in, it can be removed entirely.

It’s super easy to clean

We’ve seen high chairs with a one-hand-removable tray, but to get the washable liner off, you’ve got to finagle it. Not here! The liner can be removed with one hand, and reinstalled in a flash.

The 5-point harness we mentioned above is also an upgrade from the norm. It’s made of dishwasher-safe silicone, which you won’t find anywhere else on the market. This makes it so easy to clean. Say goodbye to food-caked straps! So beyond clever.

And the seat itself was designed to be free from tight crevices that trap crumbs and soggy oatmeal drips, meaning when you need to tackle cleaning the entire thing, you can actually get it spotless. It’s also stain-resistant, so when your baby (inevitably) spills that red spaghetti sauce, the seat will wipe completely clean!

It grows with your child—no tools needed

Did you catch that? No tools needed! That means you can bask in the glory of a High Chair that truly meets all the needs of early feeding for the smallest person at the table, and then in a couple of years when they no longer need all the bells and whistles, you can meet that need with your own bare hands. No digging through drawers wondering what you did with that custom-size Allen wrench forever ago.

As appropriate for your little one, you can remove the tray to bring them up to the table. In its final state, remove the Baby Seat and this chair is just an attractive, sturdy child chair that can be used for years to come.

This High Chair is priced right

Mockingbird’s new High Chair costs $225 with everything included – the chair, high chair attachment, footrest, tray and tray liner. Seasoned parents know this is a steal for all that you’re getting.. If you’re expecting or otherwise new to this, let’s peek at high chairs of comparable quality (though none we’ve seen offer quite as many options for a just-right fit and ease of cleaning).

You’re looking at $299 for the 4Moms high chair, $235 for the Lalo chair, and honestly, neither are as easy to clean as Mockingbird (we’re looking at you, gunky straps).. The Stokke Tripp Trapp has foot rest adjustments and ergonomic support like our Mockingbird does, but it costs $319 with no tray! To add the tray you tack on an extra $100. That’s quite an investment in just one piece of baby gear.

When your child outgrows the Mockingbird’s baby seat, and their chair is converted to a child seat, it can hold up to 150 lbs, meaning it will last for years through childhood.

Mockingbird, we love youuuu!

We are over the moon about this new, impeccably designed High Chair and we’re over here singing about it. With its beautiful wooden aesthetic, highly adjustable functionality, and unprecedented longevity, you’d be nuts not to try it for yourself and your family.
